Editing

  Editing nearly 10 years, I am currently a senior videotape editor at Channel Nine (GTV) in Melbourne. Focusing mainly on; commercial production/post-production and live television. With key aspects including the use of non-linear systems by Discreet "Smoke”, Avid “Adrenaline” and “Media Composer”. In 2001, I was also a transmission supervisor which saw the introduction and implementation from 4:3 to 16:9.

With over 4 years experience using Smoke in both SD and HD, I have done quite a variety of jobs that have been both challeneging and stimulating.
Editing for television shows, corporate videos, commercials, special events, news promotions

  • Commerical clients include Maceys Carpet Court, Gainsville, Telstra, Ultra-Tune, Netspace, Cadbury.
  • Conform for “Stingers” drama Series
  • Special events for DVD release (including film restoration)
  • More complex edits for current Channel Nine show inserts
  • Weekly and daily news updates

Editing on the Avid system for close to four years my major project came last year editing 12 episodes for a a show titled “What A Year”. This involved everything from overall look, to complete finish with graphics, music and treatment. This project involved 2 Adrenilnes for final completion and 4 Media composers for offline along with the Unity system to help.

· Dubbing commericials / news updates / promos  etc.  into ACR’S + Profile System

· Recording of news updates / promos / commericals; ex - sydney

· Switching for Co-ord (on-air presentation)

Trasmission being the core of the GTV; this job entailed leasing with the programming manager & personnel / traffic / videotape / news / presentation (PC), master control / Sydney (MC & videotape ON-AIR. Additionally; dealing with matters such as programs for ON-AIR; missing commericals & billboard advertising for ON-AIR.
